Stormy Weather

What an awful day, weather wise! What with the rain, wind and very chilly it has definately been the kind of day when I just want to stay in and craft. I hope everyone is okay and no damage to houses, fences or trees blown down or anything else this kind of weather seems to bring.

Lots of you have already popped into the shop this last week to take advantage of our "10 sheets of paper for a £1" offer. Today I have had another sort through of the scrapbook papers and have added a few more to the "10 for a £1" offer.

Our "Ribbon Odds" box has always been very popular. Today it has been overflowing as I have also sorted through the ribbon reels. Each length of ribbon is just 30p!!

I will also be running 2 special offers very soon...more details to follow.

Classes and More items in our clearance section

Stamping on candles is an amazing technique and is a great way to make a unique and wonderful gift for Christmas. The class on Thursday 19th November will show you how to create a candle like this one and at just £7 which includes the candle is great value! Give me a call or email if wish to book a space!Last month, Kathey's "Seasonal Calender" class was so popular and due to many requests it is being repeated on Thursday 26th November in the evening (6.30pm-8.30pm), there are still a few spaces on it. The calender features a page for each of the 4 seasons, each one beautifully decorated to reflect the month. Great for a gift or to keep for yourself!!

Today I have added quite a lot to our Clearance Section within the shop, in order to make room for some newly released Spring and 2010 ranges. Flowersoft is all reduced and the 12 X 12 paper clearance area is now at 10 sheets of paper for just £1.00, that's 10p per sheet!!! Lots of other goodies too, pop along and take a look!

Journal Your Christmas

Well, now that we are well and truely into November and the shops are full of Christmas goodies it's getting hard to ignore the fact that it's not that all that far away now.

I did it last year and although I only managed to do up to about 10 December when I had computer problems and couldn't get my photos loaded or read the daily prompts I really enjoyed what I did do. As the Big Day gets nearer, our house seems to get manic and just making 15 minutes each day to craft was wonderful. The other day I did another page for my album and have promised myself I will finish it before the end of 2009!

Ringwood Craft Show

Just thought I would share these pics from the Paper Crafts Show at Ringwood last Sunday. Maggie did a fantastic job demonstrating all day long. This photo was taken right at the end of the day, and she was still smiling! :)

I hope anyone who went along had a good day and thanks to everyone who visited the Maisie May Crafts stand.

I also just want to say Thank you to Helena, Maggie and Kathey who helped on the day-you are all stars!!

I have seen tonight on her blog that Shimelle's Journal Your Christmas is starting again soon, I did this last year and really enjoyed it, despite not finishing it due to camera problems.

Last Demo Day Cards

I have just realised I didn't show you the cards from our last in store Demo Day. So better late than never, here's a few of the cards Maggie made.
The little blue flower is a Little Claire Stamp, the penguin is Magenta and the cute little snowman is a Hero Arts Cling Stamp. Maggie also used scalloped cardstock to make the card blank, the Inverted corner Punch from Woodware (which is unfortunately out of stock at the Suppliers at the moment but due back in mid November), promarkers to colour the images and peel offs, glamour dust and ribbons to finish.
The 2nd picture shows one of my favourite cards, using the beautiful Queens Anne's Lace stamp and distress inks.

Well, after a fabulous day at the Ringwood Papercrafts Show I am exhausted and definately ready for an early night. A huge thank you to everyone who came along and popped over to our stand, it was lovely to meet so many of you!
