Cards for the guys!!!

You know those days when you need to send a card to a guy and you look in your box of cards (that all of us crafters seem to have for days when we need to send a card quick) and can't seem to find anything suitable for him??!

My class this morning was all about making quick cards for men! All made with toppers and patterned papers...not a stamp in sight!! ......sometimes I like simple cards which don't involve having to get out the stamps and inkpads!

Daisy and dandelion Rub Ons, scallop circle cut with nesties, patterned paper and gems to finish.

The ladies enjoyed learning how to score, cut and fold card stock to make this stepper card, embellished with patterned paper from Forever Friends paper stack, punched circles and a few peel offs.

This one is a Kanban musical topper, mounted on black card and gold stardust card. Border is cut with my Martha Stewart Loopy Punch. Gems and peel off notes to finish.

The last card is a square card with a diagonal piece sliced off, football paper ( with edges inked) from the Forever Friends paper stack, silver stardust card and football embellies from a pack by EnoCrafts.

Magazine Sneak Peeks!

Remember my last post with the great news about the NEW Scrapbook Inspirations Ideas Magazine hitting the shelves next week, next Wednesday to be exact!!

Well, today I have come across some sneak peeks on the SI Blog!!

I really struggle with using lots of patterned papers on one layout so I'll be having a good read of that article!

It's pouring with rain again today so I'm going to make a cuppa and have a sort out of my photos ready for scrapping this weekend!

Scrapbook Inspirations is Back!

For those of you who used to buy and love the wonderful Scrapbook Inspirations magazine...have you heard the news....?

It is BACK!!!

It goes on sale on 31st March and I gather places like WH Smiths and Sainsburys will have it on their shelves or you can pre order it here!

It is going to be a different format to the old version, it's bigger and looks like it will be full of loads of inspiration and ideas....just what I'm in need of right now! :)

Think I'm also right in saying it is going to be published quarterly!

I know I'll be grabbing a copy on the 31st!

The weekend begins....

Hi Everyone!
Friday has come around again so quickly and it's the start of the weekend! Yay! I have been looking forward to this weekend for a long time as on Saturday evening I am going to see Ronan Keating in concert! Can't wait! I have seen Boyzone before and they were fantastic so hoping Ronan will be as good on stage on his own!

In Craft News... I have been making this shutter card.

I usually make square or C6 cards and rarely attempt unusual shapes so this made me do something a bit different and took me out of my comfort zone which has to be a good thing.
This is the view from the top so you can see the folds better!


Well, I'm going to watch a bit more of sports relief on the TV....!

Empty!

I haven't been about blog world much lately as I have been busy doing this!!

By last Tuesday tea time the shop looked like very different to usual!

A bit bare and empty!

The MOVE went well, without any major problems although I was absolutely shattered after getting all the stock and everything packed up, shelves and racks dismantled and moved out. Thankfully I had some wonderful helpers whom I could not have managed without. So A huge Thank You to my lovely husband, my Brother and my Dad.

I am gradually getting myself organised, unpacking all the boxes and checking through what stock is left, ready for placing some orders for new goodies and I'm busy loading all the products onto the on line shop on the website.

Crafting hasn't really had much of a look in lately but I'm hoping I will manage to get a few cards made this week as I have some birthdays coming up which I need cards for.

Blue Skies!

1 st March! So what happened to February? I think I must have blinked and missed a whole month!!!

Well what better way to start a new month than with weather like this!

The sun is shining and a beautiful blue sky!

Weather like this made me feel like Spring is finally here..at long last!! I even put my washing out on the line in the garden for the 1st time this year!

Sorry I have no crafting to show you today....I have been so busy packing up the shop and starting to move out!

I also wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone who came along last Saturday for our last day, it made me realise how many good friends I have made since I took over the shop. I really do appreciate all the support! I thought I would feel just a little bit sad on Saturday but I didn't....just excitement for the next stage...and looking forward to the future! :)

I noticed today that I am almost up to 1000 visits on my little blog, now I know compared to a lot of blogs that is not a lot, but in my book it's a milestone that needs to be celebrated so I will have to see what I can come up with!!

I'm planning a little craft session this evening, (I need a break from packing boxes) and so I should have something to show you tomorrow.
